Rooftop views
Today I figured out that the digital camera can be used to shoot small video clips. Then I proceeded to learn that it is easier to take a picture than to shoot a video (don't move the camera, stupid!).
At least I had a good training object: The show of the Frecce Tricolori in occasion of Remembrance Day (bear with me, the picture steadies after about 20 seconds...):
For good measure here's a 360 degree view from the rooftop, starting and ending at the Pyramid:
Hopefully I'll be able to catch some crazy birds later on.
P.S: Yes, I know that the video is sideways, and yes, I've wasted two hours of my life trying to rotate it, and yes, I succeded - but BLOODY YOUTUBE just won't accept that it's rotated and leave it in portrait mode.
Update 10.11.2008: I figured it's easier to redo the films than to try to rotate them - here they are, the first from the highest vantage point, the second from the terrace itself:
